Cesare Borgia in a Nutshell – Virtual Book Tour. Day One

Home / Media / Cesare Borgia in a Nutshell – Virtual Book Tour. Day One

The life of Cesare Borgia (1475-1507), the powerful son of Pope Alexander VI, is an incredible story about ambition, power, political games and the assiduous pursuit of a dream. It is the story of an amazing prince of the Renaissance, who, with the financial backing of his father, dared and acted to achieve his majestic goal: the conquest of the city-states of central Italy and their annexation to the Papal States, in order to create a great and powerful Italy.

The newest biography of this wonderful Renaissance figure is Cesare Borgia in a Nutshell (MadeGlobal Publishing, 1st edition, 2016), written by Samantha Morris. This book, although small in size, is one of the most convincing and evidential texts written in the last decades, about the real Cesare Borgia.

Today, the 14th of November, our Institute, in collaboration with MadeGlobal Publishing, starts a virtual book tour for the volume Cesare Borgia in a Nutshell.cesare_borgia_book_tour

Friday, November 18th, at the end of this tour, we will decide to give a copy of the book to the one that will write the most interesting or attractive comment (on the website or Facebook page), in English or Romanian, about this historical individuality: Cesare Borgia.

Therefore, we gladly invite you to write your posts and comments! Enjoy the reading!

I became interested in Cesare recently after watch The Borgias series.
Although these shows are far from an actuate potrayal of the real person, one does become intrigued by what that person was really like during what is a fascinating period in world history.
